Velo3D Inconel 625 is Velo3D's grade of the nickel-chromium-molybdenum-niobium alloy Inconel 625 made by laser powder bed fusion. As printed, it has a fine cellular structure with niobium and molybdenum segregated to the cell walls and columnar grains running along the build direction, so its properties vary with build orientation. Residual stress is high, so parts are stress relieved on the build plate and are often hot isostatically pressed or solution annealed, then machined or finished where the rough surface matters. Typical parts are heat exchangers, rocket engine and combustor components, and manifolds with internal channels for hot, corrosive service. Every value on this page is read from Velo3D's own material data sheet — quoted, cited and dated — and is the maker's statement about printed material, not a measurement by MatWorld; none has yet been reviewed by a person.
