Nikon SLM Solutions IN625 is that maker's grade of the nickel-chromium-molybdenum-niobium alloy Inconel 625 for laser powder bed fusion. As printed, it has a fine cellular-dendritic structure with columnar grains along the build direction, so its properties differ between build orientations. Residual stress calls for stress relief before parts are cut from the plate. This is often followed by solution annealing or hot isostatic pressing, and by machining of the rough surface. Printed parts serve as heat exchangers, combustor and exhaust hardware, and chemical-processing or marine components with intricate internal channels. Every value on this page is read from Nikon SLM Solutions' own material data sheet — quoted, cited and dated — and is the maker's statement about printed material, not a measurement by MatWorld; none has yet been reviewed by a person.
