Nikon SLM Solutions IN625 is that maker's grade of Inconel 625, a nickel-chromium-molybdenum-niobium alloy, for laser powder bed fusion, here annealed. As printed it has a fine cellular structure with niobium and molybdenum segregated to cell boundaries, grains elongated along the build direction and high residual stress, so parts need supports and stress relief before removal from the plate. Annealing relieves that stress and dissolves much of the segregation, lowering strength but raising ductility and reducing anisotropy. Parts serve as heat exchangers, combustor and exhaust hardware, manifolds and corrosion-resistant chemical and marine components with internal channels. Every value on this page is read from Nikon SLM Solutions' own material data sheet — quoted, cited and dated — and is the maker's statement about printed material, not a measurement by MatWorld; none has yet been reviewed by a person.
