EOS NickelAlloy IN625 is a maker's grade of Inconel 625, a nickel-chromium-molybdenum-niobium alloy, processed by laser powder bed fusion. As built it is near fully dense, with a fine cellular-dendritic structure and columnar grains along the build direction that make properties differ between orientations. Rapid solidification leaves residual stress and niobium segregation, so parts are stress-relieved before removal from the plate and often solution annealed or hot isostatically pressed. Overhangs need supports, and the rough surface is usually machined or polished. Parts serve as corrosion- and heat-resistant components with complex geometry, such as aerospace ducting, heat exchangers and chemical-processing hardware. Every value on this page is read from EOS's own material data sheet — quoted, cited and dated — and is the maker's statement about printed material, not a measurement by MatWorld; none has yet been reviewed by a person.
