EOS NickelAlloy IN625 is a maker's powder grade of the nickel-chromium-molybdenum-niobium alloy Inconel 625, printed by laser powder bed fusion and then heat-treated. As built, it has a fine cellular structure with niobium and molybdenum segregated to cell boundaries, columnar grains along the build direction and high residual stress. Heat treatment relieves that stress before parts are cut from the plate and can homogenize the structure, reducing anisotropy, though supports must still be removed and the rough surface usually machined. Typical parts are heat exchangers, combustion and exhaust hardware, ducting and fluid-handling components for aerospace, energy and chemical processing. Every value on this page is read from EOS's own material data sheet — quoted, cited and dated — and is the maker's statement about printed material, not a measurement by MatWorld; none has yet been reviewed by a person.
