Inconel 625 (L-PBF, Colibrium Additive Nickel 625, stress-relieved)

Colibrium Additive Nickel 625 is the maker's laser powder bed fusion grade of the nickel-chromium-molybdenum-niobium alloy Inconel 625, here in the stress-relieved condition. Printing gives a fine cellular-dendritic structure with columnar grains along the build direction, interdendritic segregation of molybdenum and niobium, and high residual stress. Stress relief, usually done before parts are cut from the build plate, reduces distortion but largely keeps the as-built structure and its anisotropy between build directions. Supports must still be removed and rough surfaces machined or finished. Typical parts are heat- and corrosion-resistant components with internal passages, such as heat exchangers and manifolds.
