Inconel 625 (BMD)

Inconel 625 made by bound metal deposition is the nickel-chromium-molybdenum-niobium alloy printed from metal-filled polymer filament, then debound and sintered into a metal part. The green part is printed oversize to allow for sintering shrinkage, and the sintered part keeps layer lines, a rougher surface than machined stock, and some porosity. Sagging during sintering limits long unsupported spans, so supports or setters are often needed, and properties can vary with build direction. Typical uses are corrosion-resistant fixtures, housings and fluid-handling parts, and low-volume components for marine, chemical and aerospace service.
