Markforged Inconel 625 is the maker's grade of the nickel-chromium-molybdenum-niobium alloy printed by bound metal deposition, here as a part in the sintered condition. The part is extruded oversized from polymer-bound powder filament, debound to remove the binder and furnace-sintered, shrinking as the powder densifies into a near-dense metal with a sintered grain structure rather than a melt-pool structure. Some residual porosity remains, and layer lines leave a rough surface, so critical faces and holes are usually machined. Printed parts are used for corrosion- and heat-resistant fixtures, tooling, brackets and low-volume functional components in chemical, marine and industrial equipment. Every value on this page is read from Markforged's own material data sheet — quoted, cited and dated — and is the maker's statement about printed material, not a measurement by MatWorld; none has yet been reviewed by a person.
