A-286 is an austenitic iron-nickel-cobalt superalloy strengthened by precipitation hardening, designed for jet engine components and high-temperature structural applications requiring sustained service to 1300°F (704°C). The alloy combines excellent creep resistance, fatigue strength, and corrosion resistance with moderate density, making it suitable for turbine discs, fasteners, and casings in aerospace propulsion systems.
