A-286 is an iron-nickel-cobalt superalloy (Fe-Ni-Co base with Ti, Al, Mo, V, Cr) solution heat-treated and aged (STA) to provide sustained strength up to ~700°C, offering yield strengths of 170–200 ksi with good fatigue resistance and oxidation protection for jet engine components, fasteners, and high-temperature structural applications. The STA condition delivers optimal tensile properties and bearing strength characteristics while maintaining ductility suitable for aerospace fastening and engine hardware applications.
