YScIr is an yttrium-scandium-iridium intermetallic ceramic compound that combines refractory metal properties with ceramic stability, positioning it in the family of high-entropy or multi-component intermetallic materials. This material is primarily of research interest, developed for extreme-temperature applications where conventional ceramics and superalloys reach their performance limits. The yttrium and scandium additions provide oxidation resistance and thermal stability, while iridium contributes exceptional hardness and chemical inertness, making it a candidate for next-generation aerospace and ultra-high-temperature structural applications.

Regulatory Screening

Environmental

RoHS, REACH, and Prop 65 statuses are validated against official substance lists (ECHA SVHC Candidate List, OEHHA Prop 65, RoHS Annex II). Other regulations are estimated from composition and material classification. All screening is a starting point for due diligence — always verify with your supplier before making compliance decisions.
