ceramic

· YOF

YOF is a yttrium-based oxide ceramic compound, likely yttrium oxyfluoride or a related yttrium fluoride oxide phase, developed for specialized optical and thermal applications requiring chemical stability and refractory properties. This material appears in photonics research and high-temperature environments where traditional oxides fall short, particularly in applications demanding both thermal resistance and controlled optical behavior. YOF is notable for its potential in laser-host materials, phosphors, and extreme-environment components where engineers need a ceramic with tailored optical and mechanical performance in systems operating above conventional ceramic limits.

Regulatory Screening

Environmental

RoHS, REACH, and Prop 65 statuses are validated against official substance lists (ECHA SVHC Candidate List, OEHHA Prop 65, RoHS Annex II). Other regulations are estimated from composition and material classification. All screening is a starting point for due diligence — always verify with your supplier before making compliance decisions.
