YbAc is an intermetallic ceramic compound combining ytterbium and actinium, representing a rare-earth actinide material class studied primarily in advanced materials research rather than widespread industrial production. This material family is investigated for potential high-temperature applications and specialized nuclear fuel or shielding contexts where actinide chemistry and rare-earth properties may offer unique benefits. The compound remains largely experimental, with applications concentrated in nuclear science, materials research, and theoretical exploration of lanthanide-actinide phase behavior rather than conventional engineering practice.

Regulatory Screening

Environmental

RoHS, REACH, and Prop 65 statuses are validated against official substance lists (ECHA SVHC Candidate List, OEHHA Prop 65, RoHS Annex II). Other regulations are estimated from composition and material classification. All screening is a starting point for due diligence — always verify with your supplier before making compliance decisions.
