Velo3D Ti-6Al-4V is Velo3D's grade of the titanium alloy, a powder and parameter set for building parts by laser powder bed fusion. Rapid solidification gives a fine martensitic alpha-prime structure in columnar prior-beta grains along the build direction, with some anisotropy between orientations and high residual stress. Parts are usually stress relieved on the build plate, often hot isostatically pressed to close porosity and improve fatigue strength, and machined where the rough as-built surface and support marks matter. Typical uses are lightweight brackets, manifolds and other complex titanium parts for aerospace, space and high-performance industrial equipment. Every value on this page is read from Velo3D's own material data sheet — quoted, cited and dated — and is the maker's statement about printed material, not a measurement by MatWorld; none has yet been reviewed by a person.
