ThPS is a ceramic compound in the thorium phosphate sulfate family, developed primarily as a research material for nuclear waste immobilization and long-term storage applications. It combines high chemical durability with thermal stability, making it a candidate material for encapsulating actinide elements and fission products in advanced fuel cycle scenarios. While not yet widely deployed in commercial practice, ThPS represents an important class of ceramic waste forms being investigated by the nuclear industry and materials research community as a potential alternative to conventional glasses and conventional phosphate ceramics for radioactive waste management.

RoHS, REACH, and Prop 65 statuses are validated against official substance lists (ECHA SVHC Candidate List, OEHHA Prop 65, RoHS Annex II). Other regulations are estimated from composition and material classification. All screening is a starting point for due diligence — always verify with your supplier before making compliance decisions.
