Terbium hexaboride (ThB6) is an ultra-high-temperature ceramic compound belonging to the hexaboride family, characterized by exceptional hardness and thermal stability. It finds application in extreme-environment components such as thermionic cathodes, high-temperature structural elements, and specialized refractory applications where conventional ceramics fail; its primary advantage over alternatives lies in superior electron emission properties and resistance to thermal shock in temperatures exceeding 2000°C.

RoHS, REACH, and Prop 65 statuses are validated against official substance lists (ECHA SVHC Candidate List, OEHHA Prop 65, RoHS Annex II). Other regulations are estimated from composition and material classification. All screening is a starting point for due diligence — always verify with your supplier before making compliance decisions.
