SmMgF4 is a rare-earth fluoride ceramic composed of samarium, magnesium, and fluorine—a compound that sits within the broader family of lanthanide fluorides and mixed-metal fluoride materials. This material is primarily of research and specialized optical interest rather than high-volume industrial production; it is investigated for applications requiring high refractive index, chemical stability, and transparency in the infrared spectrum, where fluoride ceramics outperform conventional oxides.

RoHS, REACH, and Prop 65 statuses are validated against official substance lists (ECHA SVHC Candidate List, OEHHA Prop 65, RoHS Annex II). Other regulations are estimated from composition and material classification. All screening is a starting point for due diligence — always verify with your supplier before making compliance decisions.
