SmGe is an intermetallic ceramic compound composed of samarium and germanium, belonging to the rare-earth germanide family. This material is primarily investigated in research contexts for its potential as a thermoelectric material and semiconducting component, leveraging samarium's lanthanide properties and germanium's semiconductor characteristics. SmGe and related rare-earth germanides are of interest in advanced thermal management, solid-state cooling systems, and high-temperature electronic applications where conventional semiconductors reach their limits.

RoHS, REACH, and Prop 65 statuses are validated against official substance lists (ECHA SVHC Candidate List, OEHHA Prop 65, RoHS Annex II). Other regulations are estimated from composition and material classification. All screening is a starting point for due diligence — always verify with your supplier before making compliance decisions.
