· JVASP-21479· Sm3Ir

Sm₃Ir is an intermetallic ceramic compound combining samarium (a rare-earth element) with iridium, forming a hard ceramic material in the rare-earth intermetallic family. This material is primarily of research interest for high-temperature and corrosion-resistant applications, as the combination of rare-earth and precious-metal constituents provides potential for exceptional thermal stability and oxidation resistance in demanding environments. Sm₃Ir represents an emerging class of rare-earth intermetallics being investigated for aerospace and advanced energy systems where conventional ceramics or superalloys face limitations.

Environmental

RoHS, REACH, and Prop 65 statuses are validated against official substance lists (ECHA SVHC Candidate List, OEHHA Prop 65, RoHS Annex II). Other regulations are estimated from composition and material classification. All screening is a starting point for due diligence — always verify with your supplier before making compliance decisions.
