Sm2SbS

Sm2SbS is an intermetallic ceramic compound containing samarium, antimony, and sulfur, belonging to the rare-earth chalcogenide family of materials. This is a research-phase material primarily investigated for thermoelectric and photonic applications where rare-earth compounds offer tunable electronic and thermal properties. While not yet widely deployed in production engineering, samarium-based chalcogenides show promise in solid-state energy conversion and specialized optical devices where the rare-earth chemistry enables performance characteristics difficult to achieve with conventional ceramics.
