ScFeO3 is a mixed-metal oxide ceramic composed of scandium and iron in a perovskite-related structure. This material is primarily of research interest for its potential in multiferroic and magnetoelectric applications, where coupling between magnetic and ferroelectric properties is exploited. While not yet widely deployed in production engineering, ScFeO3 and related scandium iron oxides are investigated for next-generation magnetic sensors, spintronic devices, and high-temperature magnetic applications where the combination of scandium's stability and iron's magnetic properties offers advantages over conventional ferrites.
