Sc₂Ir is an intermetallic ceramic compound combining scandium and iridium, belonging to the family of transition metal intermetallics. This material is primarily of research and development interest rather than established in high-volume production, with potential applications in extreme-temperature environments where its high melting point and metallic bonding characteristics could provide advantages over conventional ceramics or superalloys.

Regulatory Screening

Environmental

RoHS, REACH, and Prop 65 statuses are validated against official substance lists (ECHA SVHC Candidate List, OEHHA Prop 65, RoHS Annex II). Other regulations are estimated from composition and material classification. All screening is a starting point for due diligence — always verify with your supplier before making compliance decisions.
