RhReON2 is an experimental ceramic compound containing rhodium, rhenium, oxygen, and nitrogen elements, representing a research-phase material in the high-entropy or complex oxide/nitride ceramic family. This material belongs to an emerging class of multi-component ceramics being investigated for extreme-environment applications where conventional ceramics reach performance limits. While not yet in widespread industrial production, compounds in this material family show promise for aerospace propulsion systems, high-temperature structural applications, and catalytic functions due to the unique properties that arise from combining refractory metals (Rh, Re) with interstitial elements (O, N).
