RbYF is a rare-earth fluoride ceramic compound composed of rubidium, yttrium, and fluorine. This material belongs to the family of ionic fluoride ceramics, which are of significant research interest for optical and electrolytic applications due to their wide transparency window and ionic conductivity properties. While not yet widely commercialized, RbYF and related rare-earth fluorides show promise in specialized applications requiring chemical stability and high-temperature performance in fluorine-rich or corrosive environments.
