RbPbF is an inorganic ceramic compound composed of rubidium, lead, and fluorine elements, belonging to the halide perovskite family of materials. This is primarily a research-phase compound studied for its potential in optoelectronic and photonic applications, particularly in the context of lead halide perovskite systems that show promise for next-generation semiconducting devices. The inclusion of rubidium as the A-site cation modifies electronic band structure and crystal stability compared to more common lead halide perovskites, making it relevant for exploratory work in solid-state physics and materials chemistry rather than established industrial production.
