RbGe is an intermetallic ceramic compound formed between rubidium and germanium, belonging to the broader class of alkali-metal germanides. This material is primarily of research interest rather than established industrial production, studied for its potential electronic and structural properties within the context of semiconductor and quantum materials development. RbGe and related germanide compounds are investigated for applications in thermoelectrics, optoelectronics, and as precursors or dopants in semiconductor engineering, though widespread commercial adoption remains limited.
