PdSe₂Br₆ is an experimental mixed-halide ceramic compound combining palladium, selenium, and bromine in a layered crystal structure. This material belongs to the family of halide perovskites and transition-metal chalcohalides under active research for optoelectronic and solid-state device applications. While not yet commercialized, compounds in this class show promise for photovoltaics, light-emitting devices, and quantum materials where tunable bandgaps and unique electronic properties are sought.
