PbYOFN

PbYOFN is an oxyhalide ceramic compound containing lead and yttrium in its crystal structure, likely developed for optical or electronic applications given its mixed-anion composition. This material belongs to the rare-earth oxyhalide family, an emerging class of ceramics studied for potential use in photonic devices, scintillators, or solid-state laser hosts where the combination of optical transparency and rare-earth dopant compatibility is advantageous. While primarily a research-phase compound, oxyhalides of this type offer potential advantages over conventional oxides in tunable luminescence and thermal stability for niche high-performance applications.
