PA12 (SLS, Farsoon FS3300PA)

Farsoon FS3300PA is a PA12 powder grade made by Farsoon for selective laser sintering, in which a laser fuses successive layers of a heated polymer powder bed. As with other laser-sintered PA12, the surrounding unfused powder supports the parts, so no support structures are needed. Parts retain some porosity, a grainy matte surface, and lower strength and elongation in the build direction than in the layer plane. Printed parts are depowdered and bead-blasted, and may be dyed or smoothed. The grade is used for functional prototypes and end-use parts such as housings, ducts, brackets, clips and fixtures, often in small production runs.
