PA11 (MJF)

PA11 printed by Multi Jet Fusion is a semi-crystalline polyamide processed as a polymer powder bed, where inkjet-applied fusing and detailing agents control where infrared energy melts each layer. Unfused powder supports the part, so no support structures are needed. Parts are nearly dense with some residual porosity, have a slightly grainy grey surface, and are somewhat anisotropic between the build plane and the build direction. Caked powder is removed by bead blasting or air, and parts can then be dyed or smoothed. Typical uses are functional prototypes and production of tough, flexible parts such as housings, clips, ducting, snap-fits and living hinges.
