· JVASP-20410· NpIr2

NpIr2 is an intermetallic ceramic compound combining neptunium and iridium, representing an advanced material in the rare actinide-transition metal family. This is a research-phase material studied primarily for nuclear and high-performance aerospace applications where extreme density, thermal stability, and radiation resistance are critical. Its exceptional density and stiffness characteristics make it a candidate for specialized applications requiring materials that can withstand hostile environments—such as nuclear fuel matrices, radiation shielding, or extreme-temperature structural components—though production and handling are limited by neptunium's radioactive nature and the material's laboratory maturity.

Regulatory Screening

Environmental

RoHS, REACH, and Prop 65 statuses are validated against official substance lists (ECHA SVHC Candidate List, OEHHA Prop 65, RoHS Annex II). Other regulations are estimated from composition and material classification. All screening is a starting point for due diligence — always verify with your supplier before making compliance decisions.
