NdS2 is a rare-earth metal sulfide ceramic compound combining neodymium with sulfur in a layered crystal structure. This material family is primarily investigated in research settings for solid-state electronics, photocatalysis, and energy storage applications where the combination of rare-earth properties and chalcogenide chemistry offers unique electronic and optical characteristics. While not yet established in high-volume industrial production, NdS2 and similar rare-earth sulfides represent an emerging materials platform for next-generation devices requiring tailored band gaps, anisotropic properties, or catalytic activity.

Regulatory Screening

Environmental

RoHS, REACH, and Prop 65 statuses are validated against official substance lists (ECHA SVHC Candidate List, OEHHA Prop 65, RoHS Annex II). Other regulations are estimated from composition and material classification. All screening is a starting point for due diligence — always verify with your supplier before making compliance decisions.
