Colibrium Additive Nickel 718 is the maker's Inconel 718 grade, printed by laser powder bed fusion and hot isostatically pressed. As built, it has fine columnar grains along the build direction, niobium-rich interdendritic segregation, high residual stress and rough downskin surfaces, so parts are stress relieved before support removal. Hot isostatic pressing closes internal pores, reduces segregation and anisotropy, and is usually followed by solution treatment and ageing to precipitate strengthening gamma double prime. Parts serve in gas turbine and rocket engines as combustor hardware, fuel nozzles, brackets and heat exchangers. Every value on this page is read from Colibrium Additive's own material data sheet — quoted, cited and dated — and is the maker's statement about printed material, not a measurement by MatWorld; none has yet been reviewed by a person.
