3D Systems LaserForm Ni625 (A) is a grade of Inconel 625 printed by laser powder bed fusion, here in the as-built condition without heat treatment. Rapid solidification gives a fine cellular-dendritic structure with niobium and molybdenum segregated to the cell boundaries, inside columnar grains elongated along the build direction, so properties vary with build orientation. Parts carry high residual stress, need supports and have rough surfaces, so printing is usually followed by stress relief, support removal and often machining. Typical uses are heat- and corrosion-resistant parts with internal channels, such as heat exchangers, manifolds and combustion hardware. Every value on this page is read from 3D Systems' own material data sheet — quoted, cited and dated — and is the maker's statement about printed material, not a measurement by MatWorld; none has yet been reviewed by a person.
