3D Systems LaserForm Ni625 (A) is that maker's grade of Inconel 625 made by laser powder bed fusion, here in the annealed condition. As printed, the alloy has a fine cellular structure with niobium and molybdenum segregated at cell boundaries, columnar grains along the build direction and high residual stress. Annealing relieves that stress and homogenizes the structure, lowering strength, raising ductility and reducing anisotropy compared with the as-built state, while supports still need removing and functional surfaces machining. It is used for corrosion- and heat-resistant parts with complex internal passages, such as manifolds, heat exchangers and combustion hardware. Every value on this page is read from 3D Systems' own material data sheet — quoted, cited and dated — and is the maker's statement about printed material, not a measurement by MatWorld; none has yet been reviewed by a person.
