Hf3Sc is an intermetallic ceramic compound combining hafnium and scandium, belonging to the family of refractory metal compounds. This material is primarily of research interest for applications requiring extreme temperature stability and chemical inertness, as the hafnium-scandium system exhibits excellent high-temperature performance and oxidation resistance.
