EOS Titanium TiCP Grade 2 is a commercially pure Grade 2 titanium powder for laser powder bed fusion, here in the as-built condition without heat treatment. Rapid melt-pool cooling gives a fine acicular alpha structure in columnar prior-beta grains, so as-built parts are generally stronger and less ductile than annealed wrought Grade 2. Parts carry residual stress, need supports and removal from the build plate, and have a rough layered surface, so stress relief and machining or finishing usually follow. Printed parts are used for corrosion-resistant fluid-handling and chemical-processing components, heat exchangers and lightweight lattice structures. Every value on this page is read from EOS's own material data sheet — quoted, cited and dated — and is the maker's statement about printed material, not a measurement by MatWorld; none has yet been reviewed by a person.
