3D Systems LaserForm CoCrF75 (A) is a cobalt-chromium-molybdenum alloy grade made by laser powder bed fusion, here in the hot isostatically pressed condition. As built, the alloy has a fine cellular solidification structure, residual stress from layerwise melting, some anisotropy between build directions and a rough, support-marked surface. Hot isostatic pressing closes internal porosity, relieves residual stress and homogenizes the microstructure, giving more consistent ductility and fatigue behaviour. Surface roughness and surface-connected pores remain, so parts still need machining or polishing. Parts in this condition are used for orthopaedic and dental components, wear surfaces and high-temperature industrial parts. Every value on this page is read from 3D Systems' own material data sheet — quoted, cited and dated — and is the maker's statement about printed material, not a measurement by MatWorld; none has yet been reviewed by a person.
