Raise3D Premium ABS is a maker's grade of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene filament for fused deposition modeling, built up from successive extruded molten layers. As with other printed ABS, parts consist of fused roads with small voids between them, so they are weaker across layers than within them and show visible layer lines. ABS shrinks as it cools, so warping and layer splitting are concerns. It is printed on a heated bed, ideally in an enclosed chamber, and parts may need support removal, sanding or vapor smoothing. Printed parts serve as prototypes, housings, jigs and fixtures, and other functional parts that need moderate impact toughness. Every value on this page is read from Raise3D's own material data sheet — quoted, cited and dated — and is the maker's statement about printed material, not a measurement by MatWorld; none has yet been reviewed by a person.
