Verifiedmetal359.0 is a silicon-copper aluminum casting alloy (Si ~8.5%, Cu ~1%) in T6 condition (solution heat-treated and artificially aged), providing moderate strength suitable for engine blocks, cylinder heads, and transmission housings in automotive and aerospace applications with good castability and thermal fatigue resistance up to approximately 200°C.
