2219 Aluminum
Verifiedmetal2219 aluminum alloy is a copper-containing wrought aluminum alloy designed for cryogenic and elevated-temperature aerospace applications, offering high strength retention at temperatures down to -452°F and excellent fracture toughness in thick sections. Primary uses include Space Shuttle external tank structures, rocket bodies, and other aerospace applications requiring superior strength-to-weight ratios combined with resistance to stress-corrosion cracking in the T8x temper conditions.

RoHS, REACH, and Prop 65 statuses are validated against official substance lists (ECHA SVHC Candidate List, OEHHA Prop 65, RoHS Annex II). Other regulations are estimated from composition and material classification. All screening is a starting point for due diligence — always verify with your supplier before making compliance decisions.
