YbPmPd2 is an intermetallic compound composed of ytterbium, promethium, and palladium, belonging to the rare-earth-transition metal ceramic family. This is a specialized research material with limited commercial application; compounds in this family are primarily investigated for their electronic, magnetic, and structural properties at extreme conditions or for potential high-performance applications requiring rare-earth stabilization. The combination of ytterbium (an f-block rare earth) with the radioactive promethium isotope makes this compound notable in condensed matter physics research rather than conventional engineering, and selection would be driven by specific quantum or materials science objectives rather than conventional industrial use.

RoHS, REACH, and Prop 65 statuses are validated against official substance lists (ECHA SVHC Candidate List, OEHHA Prop 65, RoHS Annex II). Other regulations are estimated from composition and material classification. All screening is a starting point for due diligence — always verify with your supplier before making compliance decisions.
