YbPd is an intermetallic compound composed of ytterbium and palladium, classified as a ceramic-like metallic phase with ordered crystal structure. This material belongs to a family of rare-earth–transition-metal compounds studied primarily in research settings for their unique electronic and magnetic properties, particularly in condensed matter physics and materials science. YbPd and related compounds are of interest in thermoelectric applications, magnetic refrigeration systems, and as model systems for understanding Kondo effect physics in strongly correlated electron materials, though industrial deployment remains limited compared to established engineering ceramics.

RoHS, REACH, and Prop 65 statuses are validated against official substance lists (ECHA SVHC Candidate List, OEHHA Prop 65, RoHS Annex II). Other regulations are estimated from composition and material classification. All screening is a starting point for due diligence — always verify with your supplier before making compliance decisions.
