YbOF is an oxyfluroride ceramic compound containing ytterbium, oxygen, and fluorine. It belongs to the rare-earth oxyfluroride family, which are primarily investigated as optical and photonic materials for specialized applications requiring high refractive index contrast and low phonon energies. This material is of research interest rather than established in high-volume manufacturing, with potential applications in infrared optics, laser systems, and optical fibers where thermal stability and transparency in specific wavelength ranges are critical.

Regulatory Screening

Environmental

RoHS, REACH, and Prop 65 statuses are validated against official substance lists (ECHA SVHC Candidate List, OEHHA Prop 65, RoHS Annex II). Other regulations are estimated from composition and material classification. All screening is a starting point for due diligence — always verify with your supplier before making compliance decisions.
