Yb3Ru is an intermetallic ceramic compound composed of ytterbium and ruthenium, belonging to the rare-earth metal ceramic family. This material is primarily of research and development interest for high-temperature applications where its combination of rare-earth and transition-metal phases offers potential for enhanced thermal stability and oxidation resistance. Its notable density and intermetallic structure make it a candidate for specialized aerospace, energy, and materials science studies, though industrial deployment remains limited compared to established high-temperature ceramics like yttria-stabilized zirconia or alumina.

RoHS, REACH, and Prop 65 statuses are validated against official substance lists (ECHA SVHC Candidate List, OEHHA Prop 65, RoHS Annex II). Other regulations are estimated from composition and material classification. All screening is a starting point for due diligence — always verify with your supplier before making compliance decisions.
