ThU3

ThU₃ is a ceramic compound in the thorium-uranium intermetallic family, representing a dense refractory material with potential high-temperature structural applications. This material is primarily of research and development interest rather than widespread commercial use, studied for advanced nuclear fuel forms, refractory applications, and materials with extreme density requirements. Its utility depends on thermal stability, mechanical behavior at elevated temperatures, and compatibility with nuclear or high-heat environments—properties that distinguish it from conventional structural ceramics.
