ThIr is an intermetallic ceramic compound combining thorium and iridium, representing a high-density refractory material system. This composition is primarily of research interest for extreme-temperature applications and nuclear-related environments where both chemical stability and thermal resistance are critical; it is not widely commercialized but belongs to a family of refractory intermetallics being explored for advanced aerospace and nuclear reactor component applications where conventional superalloys reach their performance limits.

Regulatory Screening

Environmental

RoHS, REACH, and Prop 65 statuses are validated against official substance lists (ECHA SVHC Candidate List, OEHHA Prop 65, RoHS Annex II). Other regulations are estimated from composition and material classification. All screening is a starting point for due diligence — always verify with your supplier before making compliance decisions.
