TbAs is an intermetallic ceramic compound composed of terbium and arsenic, belonging to the III-V semiconductor family. While primarily of research interest rather than established industrial production, TbAs and related rare-earth pnictides are investigated for high-temperature electronics, optoelectronics, and specialized thermal management applications where rare-earth compounds offer unique electronic and thermal properties. The material's potential lies in extreme environment applications and quantum device research, though practical deployment remains limited compared to more mature III-V compounds like GaAs.

Regulatory Screening

Environmental

RoHS, REACH, and Prop 65 statuses are validated against official substance lists (ECHA SVHC Candidate List, OEHHA Prop 65, RoHS Annex II). Other regulations are estimated from composition and material classification. All screening is a starting point for due diligence — always verify with your supplier before making compliance decisions.
