Tb8Os is an intermetallic ceramic compound combining terbium (a rare-earth element) with osmium (a refractory metal), representing a specialized high-performance ceramic in the rare-earth intermetallic family. This material is primarily of research interest rather than established commercial use, developed for extreme-temperature applications where conventional ceramics lose strength or oxidation resistance. Its potential lies in aerospace propulsion systems, nuclear environments, and ultra-high-temperature structural applications where the rare-earth component provides oxidation resistance and the osmium contributes refractory properties and density.

Regulatory Screening

Environmental

RoHS, REACH, and Prop 65 statuses are validated against official substance lists (ECHA SVHC Candidate List, OEHHA Prop 65, RoHS Annex II). Other regulations are estimated from composition and material classification. All screening is a starting point for due diligence — always verify with your supplier before making compliance decisions.
