ceramic

· TaSiIr

TaSiIr is an experimental ternary ceramic compound combining tantalum, silicon, and iridium—a high-entropy ceramic in the refractory metal silicide family. This material is primarily of research interest for extreme-temperature and high-strength applications where conventional ceramics or superalloys reach their thermal or mechanical limits. The iridium and tantalum constituents confer exceptional hardness and oxidation resistance, while the silicon component improves fracture toughness and processing characteristics typical of silicide ceramics.

Regulatory Screening

Environmental

RoHS, REACH, and Prop 65 statuses are validated against official substance lists (ECHA SVHC Candidate List, OEHHA Prop 65, RoHS Annex II). Other regulations are estimated from composition and material classification. All screening is a starting point for due diligence — always verify with your supplier before making compliance decisions.
